FIELD: metallurgical industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of obtaining protective metal coatings on steel products, namely to the chemical-thermal treatment of elements of technical structures, which provides diffusion alloying of these structures with chromium and silicon. Application of the Solcoat ceramic coating for simultaneous diffusion alloying with chromium and silicon of the surface of structural steel elements during operation at a temperature not lower than 300°C and not more than 560°C.
EFFECT: provided simplification of diffusion alloying of steel structures with an increase in hardness and wear resistance, and hence durability, including long structures, by providing the possibility of alloying during their operation. In addition, the scope of use of ceramic coatings is expanding.
