FIELD: object determining technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a technology for determining an object in a controlled area. The method for automated determination of the local positioning of moving objects by operating n video cameras connected to a processor located on a data processing server with pre-installed software is characterized by the fact that video cameras are preliminarily placed at the entrance/exit points of a controlled area of a closed/open type in such a way that coverage the visibility zones of each camera is not intersect with each other, for each video camera the following parameters for counting moving objects are set: a conditional line, at the intersection of which people are counted in one of two directions, relative to the line; these parameters are set by a program code that is part of the pre-installed software, receive an image of at least one moving object in the visibility area of at least one video camera, storyboard the video stream from at least one installed video camera using the OpenCV machine vision library, queue each the sixth frame from the previous stage for further processing, and the frames are queued in chronological order.
EFFECT: improving the accuracy of counting the human flow.
