SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to pulmonology, therapy, and can be used to predict the risk of transition from a mild form of pneumonia to a severe one. The prognosis of the severity of pneumonia PTP is determined by the formula PTP=1.2967×ALS-0.7124×T-1.7345×K++1.0284×F-0.1707, where ALS is the number of affected lung segments according to the results of radiological diagnostic methods; T - venous blood testosterone, nmol/l; K+ - venous blood potassium, mmol/l; F - venous blood fibrinogen, g/l. If PTP>0, the probability of developing a severe course of pneumonia within 72 hours is more than 75%. If PTP<0, the chance of developing a severe course of pneumonia within 72 hours is less than 25%.
EFFECT: method provides the ability to predict the risk of developing severe pneumonia by determining the totality of x-ray and laboratory parameters.
