SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to post-harvest grain processing, namely to drying and storage technologies. Silo for storage and drying of grain mass contains a cylindrical case, loading and unloading devices, ventilation means, a control unit. Inside silo, two or more through cylindrical ventilation wells with air-permeable sidewalls are installed and fixed, at ends of which air filters, upper and lower sealed ventilation hatches with opening, closing, and fixation mechanisms are installed. Inside wells, ventilation means are installed, made in the form of two or more air ventilation pumps with engagement activators and one or more air-heating installations made in the form of spiral or tubular electrical-heating elements. Inside silo, between ventilation wells, sensors of temperature, moisture content, and gas composition of grain mass are evenly installed. Sensors are connected, by means of a cable network, with their outputs, to inputs of the control unit, outputs of which are connected to opening and closing mechanisms of upper and lower sealed ventilation hatches, engagement activators of air ventilation pumps, and air-heating installations for control of modes of ventilation, storage, and drying of grain mass. The invention also concerns methods for storage and drying of grain mass in silo, implemented in two different modes.

EFFECT: possibility of loading of grain mass to silo for long-term storage terms, reduction in the probability of occurrence of unfavorable factors of storage of grain mass, maintenance of the high quality of grain.
