SUBSTANCE: invention relates to apparatus for coupling a trailer with a tractor. Regenerative pneumohydraulic rod of the coupler of a road train comprises a connecting ring; a shock-absorbing mechanism and a regenerative mechanism; a body with a hydraulic cylinder placed therein equipped with a tightly sealed divider dividing the hydraulic cylinder into hydraulic cylinders of the shock-absorbing and regenerative mechanisms; a hydraulic tank; adjustable safety and reduction valves; check valves; a pneumohydraulic accumulator, two three-position four-port hydraulic control valves and a two-line normally closed hydraulic control valve; a rod crossbar; one suction and one discharge pipelines, suction-discharge, pressure and flexible pipelines. Pistons with pins are placed in the hydraulic cylinders of the shock-absorbing mechanism and the regenerative mechanism. The shock-absorbing mechanism includes a pneumohydraulic accumulator. The pneumohydraulic accumulator is linked both with the hydraulic tank and with the connection port via the adjustable reduction valve, using the pressure and discharge pipelines.

EFFECT: higher reliability of the road train, provided energy regeneration, and road train self-pulling function imparted to the coupler rod.
