FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, in particular to surgical instruments intended for puncture and opening of the maxillary sinus cyst. The instrument can be used for therapeutic and diagnostic punctures of the maxillary sinus, for example, in case of acute exudative maxillary sinusitis and maxillary sinus cyst. The device for drainage of the maxillary sinus consists of a hollow tube (3) with a sharp working end, a ribbed handle (2) and a cannula (1). The hollow tube (3) has an anatomically curved S-shape with an angle (6) of the bend of the working end of the tube of 135° and an angle (7) of the tube inclination of 55°. The inner diameter of the tube is 2 mm. The wall thickness of the tube is 0.5 mm. The beveled cut at the working end of the tube is made at an angle of 20° (5) so that the size of the hole for the passage of liquid is maximum. The diameter of the cannula (1) corresponds to the diameter of the tip of disposable syringes with a volume of 5, 10, 20 ml. The device is made of stainless steel.
EFFECT: due to the strength and ergonomics of the developed device, the quality and safety of surgical manipulations are improved; as a result, there is a reduction in the duration of temporary disability in patients with acute exudative maxillary sinusitis and maxillary sinus cyst.
