FIELD: zinc complexes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a zinc complex of the formula [Zn(HAEE)]mXn, where Zn is a doubly charged zinc (II) cation, m = 1 for singly and doubly charged anions, m = 3 for triply charged anions, HAEE is a synthetic peptide acetylated at N -terminus and amidated at the C-terminus, with the amino acid sequence His-Ala-Glu-Glu, X is a pharmaceutically acceptable anion, n = 1 for doubly charged anions, n = 2 for singly and triply charged anions. A pharmaceutical composition, a method for obtaining a zinc complex and its use are also proposed.
EFFECT: proposed zinc complex is used to treat neurodegenerative diseases.
