FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine and concerns the use of synthetic tetrapeptide Ac-His-Ala-Glu-Glu-NH2 with an N-terminal acetyl group and a C-terminal amide group (HAEE) or pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof, or complexes for restoring the function of human neurons to secrete a physiologically active chemical substance (4S, 7S, 10S, 13S)-4-((1H-imidazol-4-yl)methyl)-13-carbamoyl-10-(2-carboxyethyl)-7-methyl-2,5,8,11-tetraoxo-3,6,9,12-tetraazagexadecane-16-acid (SRFM).
EFFECT: invention provides the possibility of restoring the function of neurons in neurodegenerative disorders associated with partial or complete loss of human neurons of the ability to secrete SRFM, which leads to a strong drop in the blood SRFM level compared to the physiological norm or complete cessation of SRFM secretion.
