FIELD: copper complexes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a copper complex of the formula [Cu(HAEE)]mXn, where Cu is a doubly charged copper (II) cation, m=1 for singly and doubly charged anions, m=3 for triply charged anions, HAEE is a synthetic peptide acetylated at N -terminus and amidated at the C-terminus, with the amino acid sequence His-Ala-Glu-Glu, X is a pharmaceutically acceptable anion, n=1 for doubly charged anions, n=2 for singly and triply charged anions. Also proposed is a method for obtaining a copper complex of the HAEE peptide, a pharmaceutical composition based on it and its use.
EFFECT: proposed copper complex is used to treat neurodegenerative diseases.
