SUBSTANCE: present disclosure relates generally to an absorbent pad (100) for use in a garment (400). The absorbent pad (100) comprises: a liquid-impervious barrier layer (106); a functional layer (101) attached to the barrier layer (106), wherein the functional layer (101) contains a liquid absorbing component (104); a liquid-impermeable peripheral sealing element (110) attached to the peripheries (105, 107) of the functional layer (101) and the barrier layer (106), and the peripheral element (112) for attachment, having the first part (112a) and the second part ( 112b), wherein the first part (112a) is attached to the peripheral sealing element (110). The second part (112b) of the peripheral element (112) for attachment is not attached to the peripheral sealing element (110) and is made/located with the possibility of attaching to the fabric main part (200) of the garment (400), thereby ensuring the attachment of the absorbent pad (100) to the item (400) clothing.
