SUBSTANCE: invention relates to means for localizing and extinguishing fires in peat areas in the soil, as well as for controlling the process of burning sawdust heaps and landfills. The device is designed to extinguish peat fires by means of a pumping station, a fire hose, a submersible fire pipe and an extinguishing agent. Extinguishing smoldering fires in peat areas is carried out by supplying a fire extinguishing agent from a pump to a system of the required number of fire nozzles immersed in peat at a predetermined distance from the boundary of the smoke emission zone of a smoldering peat deposit and connected in series by fire hoses. Thus, a barrier strip is created that prevents the further spread of the fire. Fire nozzles have folding horns in the tip area, which allows them to be quickly set under pressure to a certain depth or removed. Delivery of fire barrels is carried out on a specially equipped platform. The positive effect of using this method is to reduce the laboriousness of installing fire nozzles in the soil and removing them from it and the serial connection of the fire pipe system as a whole, which reduces the time spent on creating a fire belt for a fire or preventive fencing of a fire hazardous zone to control combustion landfills, residues of woodworking materials, sawdust heaps and other flammable masses under the soil layer.

EFFECT: reducing the deployment time of the proposed system for extinguishing peat fires (installation and removal of fire nozzles), allows you to accelerate the elimination of fires, provides high mobility of fire brigades.
