FIELD: fire safety.

SUBSTANCE: method for local underground peat fires extinguishing includes flooding of all layers of peat deposition by means of capillary impregnation and filtration processes originating, extinguishing of the said peat fire ignition source, after active local underground peat fire foci exploration, their boundaries irrigation map are determined, a helicopter is used to move a multi-section container without a bottom to one of them, the latter is installed on the surface of the peat layer burning in the depth, which forms a temporary bottom container, the required irrigation container sections are filled with the required amount of water in accordance with the map via a drain device transported by a helicopter or a water pump via a tubular line, local extinguishing of the said peat fire burning sources with water in accordance with the selected irrigation map, the tank is refilled with water and additionally, if necessary, peat fire burning source extinguishing is performed, and after successful extinguishing, the tank is moved by the helicopter and installed on the next active source of peat fire burning. Tank walls moving in the direction of peat fire is suspended by restricting the movement of the latter. The essence of the claimed device is that in the device for local underground peat fires extinguishing consisting of a tank having walls bounded along its perimeter and means for filling of the said container with water, the tank itself is made without a bottom, the means for tank movement limitation is made in the form of rotary stops, mounted one on each tank wall. The tank has partitions separating its internal volume by sections, and a water tap is installed in each partition to transfer water from one section to another, with the device having nozzles for quick connection to the hose line, mounted on each tank wall.

EFFECT: increased fire extinguishing efficiency.
