SUBSTANCE: invention relates to children's developmental aids, namely, to apparatus for voicing text, e.g., from children's books or pamphlets. The technical result is achieved by the children's text voicing apparatus containing a body configured to be used by a child and equipped with an electronic circuit consisting of a processing and control unit connected to a power supply unit, an image obtaining unit, and an audio reproduction unit, wherein the image obtaining unit is configured to obtain a digital image of the page of the information medium, and the processing and control unit is configured to process the resulting digital image followed by voicing the corresponding text using the audio reproduction unit.
EFFECT: expanded range of functional capabilities and increased entertainment value of any children's apparatus intended for use by a child for game or educational purposes.
