FIELD: information technology.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to mass media, in particular, to methods of providing public transport passengers with reference and advertising information. Essence of invention: method of information support for public transport passengers consists in the fact that computer is used to generate in advance a database on all routes of vehicles of an enterprise, information files, transferring said information to a monitoring and control means, recording and monitoring programs which also enable execution of control commands, route is selected, a control command is sent to generate and reproduce the block of required service and/or social and/or advertising information using an automatic control system as a monitoring and control means, in digital memory, additionally recorded is a database on geographical points of route recorded in digital format and their sequence, on the vehicle, navigation devices are installed, from which the vehicle location and the direction of movement are determined, the data corresponding to the given section and the route direction are selected, wherein control commands for selecting and reproducing the information unit are automatically transmitted based on the results of coordinates of two extreme points of reference lines, made before stops on the path of the vehicle along the route perpendicular to the direction of movement of the vehicle, wherein temperature sensors installed inside cabin and outside cabin are additionally used to display both inside and outside temperature on on-board scoreboard, in addition, in automatic mode, an interface device is used to determine signals coming from door controls, to provide, in conjunction with door control unit, according to passenger safety rules, order of informing passengers, which implies obligatory anticipatory voice warning of passengers on closing doors of vehicle cabin when starting, as well as automatic mixing of external input signals, audio files, microphone in preset priority in order of importance: microphone, audio files, external sound source. Information device for passengers of public transport includes databases with information for passengers and geographical information on the place of operation of the vehicle, information processing and control module, made in the form of a microcontroller with a control program recorded therein, a satellite navigation receiver and an information module connected to the information processing and control module, wherein information processing and control module is configured to receive signals from databases in one-way, microcontroller is additionally connected with user interface, driver microphone, three-channel adder audio signals, information display unit for driver, interface for matching and transmitting video text data to a module for displaying information for passengers inside and outside of the vehicle, an interface for processing signals from vehicles opening/closing controls, information module is made in the form of a unit of sensors and devices for sounding and indication of audio and video information, including at least one temperature sensor, one display panel of video information, acoustics unit, and databases with geographic information include coordinates of two extreme points of control lines conducted before stops on the path of the vehicle along the route perpendicular to the direction of movement of the vehicle.

EFFECT: method is proposed for information support of public transport passengers and device for information support of public transport passengers.
