FIELD: instrumentation.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to gas-discharge pulse technology, in particular to sealed-off gas-discharge devices of the thyratron type with an incandescent cathode. The gas-discharge switching device contains an anode, a cathode and a grid knot. Two holes of different diameters are made in the grid knot, offset relative to the central axis. The channel is located at an angle to the normal of the surface of the grid knot. The edge borders of the holes are rounded.
EFFECT: increase in current carrying capacity, a reduction in the time of switching off and heating of the device.
