FIELD: pulse engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to gas-discharge pulse equipment, in particular, to low-pressure gas discharge switches of thyratron type. Gas-discharge switching device contains an anode, a cathode and a grid assembly consisting of a grid and screening electrodes. Circular electrode has round-shaped hole, in shielding electrode has hole in form of truncated sector with rounded edges, wherein the holes are concentric, the center of which is shifted relative to the main axis. Edges of holes of grid and screening electrodes are rounded. Thickness of electrodes is increased. Area of the hole in the screening electrode is 5 times larger than the area of the hole in the mesh electrode.
EFFECT: high stabilization of the current breakage process, shorter shutdown time, high maximum interrupted current.
