FIELD: medical equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a cryosurgical instrument, which operates using the Joule-Thomson effect. The cryosurgical instrument has a head with an expansion chamber located in it, a supply line for supply of fluid, first of all, gas, to the expansion chamber, a return line attached to the expansion chamber for gas removal from the expansion chamber. The supply line has a capillary line section ending in the expansion chamber with the possibility of cooling of the head coming out of it to the expansion chamber with fluid due to the Joule-Thomson effect. The supply line has at least the first section and the second section with inner cross-sections different in length, a flow channel in the supply line narrows in a funnel-shaped manner at a transition section from the first section to the second section in a direction of a fluid flow to the expansion chamber.
EFFECT: use of the invention allows for provision of a possibility of making an instrument head with an elongated shape, which contains an expansion chamber and may contain at least one section of a return device, which facilitates reduction in sizes of the instrument head, as the use of a capillary line as a fluid throttle, as well as essentially pressure boost-free fluid acceleration on at least one transition section, in which a flow cross-section decreases in a funnel-shaped manner, facilitates obtainment of the instrument head with an especially elongated shape simplifying reliable extraction of tissue samples.
