FIELD: biotechnology; medicine.
SUBSTANCE: method for diagnostics of progression of a pathological condition in a patient with Parkinson’s disease is proposed, including measurement of a number of one or more intestinal bacteria selected from a group consisting of Bifidobacterium, Bacteroides fragilis group, Lactobacillus brevis, and Lactobacillus plantarum subgroup, and/or the total number of intestinal bacteria in the patient at two or more different points of time, and comparison of these numbers. In case if the number is decreased, it is considered that the severity of the condition in Parkinson’s disease is increased. If the number is increased, it is considered that the severity of the condition in Parkinson’s disease is decreased.
EFFECT: invention provides expansion of the arsenal of methods for diagnostics of progression of a pathological condition in Parkinson’s disease.
