FIELD: encoding/decoding.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of encoding and decoding of images and/or video. Values of a flag of the most probable modes (hereinafter – MPM) are obtained for the current block from a bit stream; index MPM are obtained for the current block from the bit stream, when the value of flag MPM indicates that an internal prediction mode for the current block is an internal prediction mode contained in MPM set of internal prediction modes; values of the internal prediction mode are obtained for the current block based on index MPM and MPM set for the current block. When the internal prediction mode of the left neighboring block of the current block is a planar mode, and the internal prediction mode of the upper neighboring block of the current block is a planar mode, MPM set of prediction modes contains: a planar mode, DC mode, a vertical mode, a horizontal mode, an internal prediction mode corresponding to the vertical mode with the first offset, and an internal prediction mode corresponding to the vertical mode with the second offset.

EFFECT: provision of an effective encoding scheme with an internal prediction.
