SUBSTANCE: list of potentially suitable variants of the intra-prediction modes of the current block is constructed, including the DC intra-prediction mode, based on the intra-prediction modes of neighbouring blocks relative to the current block. The intra-prediction mode of the current block is retrieved based on the list of potentially suitable variants of intra-prediction modes. A discrete prediction sample of the current block is retrieved based on the intra-prediction mode. The intra-prediction types include the first-intra prediction type using an intra-prediction reference line adjacent to the current block, the second intra-prediction type using an intra-prediction reference line not adjacent to the current block, and the third intra-prediction type, to which the mode based on intra-subsegments is applied. The lists of potentially suitable intra-prediction mode options constructed for cases in which the intra-prediction type is the first intra-prediction type, the second intra-prediction type, and the third intra-prediction type are identical.
EFFECT: improved efficiency of image encoding.
