A list of the most probable modes (MPM) for an internal prediction is built. At the same time, list building contains: determination, whether a block left from the current encoding block is available; determination, whether a block above the current encoding block is available; use of a planar mode, DC mode, a vertical mode (VER_IDX index), a horizontal mode (HOR_IDX index), an internal prediction mode corresponding to the specified vertical mode with a shift of -4, an internal prediction mode corresponding to the specified vertical mode with a shift of 4 to obtain an index value for an internal prediction mode for the current encoding block, if one of conditions is met.
