FIELD: image encoding.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to means for image encoding. A value of a predicted sample of one or more values of reference samples is determined by means of an internal prediction, using an internal prediction mode selected from a DC internal prediction mode, a planar internal prediction mode, and an angular internal prediction mode. The first weight is determined based on the internal prediction mode and one of a block height, a block width, or both. The second weight is determined based on the internal prediction mode and one of the block height, the block width, or both. An additional value as the weighted sum of a value of an upper reference sample and a value of a left reference sample is calculated by means of weighing of the value of the upper reference sample with the first weight and the value of the left reference sample with the second weight. The value of the predicted sample is multiplied by a weight coefficient of the sample to obtain a weighted value of the predicted sample. The additional value is added to the weighted value of the predicted sample to obtain an unnormalized modified value of the predicted sample.
EFFECT: increase in the efficiency of encoding.
