SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of hydraulic engineering for the purposes of land reclamation and agricultural water supply and is intended for taking water from surface water sources and protecting irrigation systems from the ingress of litter and biogenic pollution (animal and plant origin). The filter water inlet has a massive head 1 in the form of a rigid metal box with crushed stone 2, filter cassettes with a filter load at the water inlet 9. Filter cassettes are made in the form of cylindrical cells 3 filled with carbon fabric bags 4 with filter material - wood chips with particle sizes 2-5 mm and loading thickness of 200 mm or more. The filter cassettes are horizontally covered with a plastic mesh - the upper part 5 with a pore size of 1.5-2.0 mm and the lower part 6 with a pore size of 2-4 mm. Water is discharged into the selected cavity 7 simultaneously from all cylindrical cells 3 using a gravity conduit 8, thereby averaging the flow rate of the discharged water.
EFFECT: developed structure of pore channels is provided, with an increase in the filtration surface and filtration speed.
