SUBSTANCE: The invention relates to the processing of metal wire and can be used in the manufacture of screw springs. The method involves feeding the wire from the unwinder to the winding mechanism of the spring along a curved guide, which is installed between the unwinder and the winding mechanism. The wire is bent 360 degrees °by means of a curved guide, which is carried out in a spiral in a plane normal to the axis of the wound spring, ensuring smooth entry of the wire into the bending zone and exit from the bending zone.
EFFECT: The present invention ensures the stability of the wound spring.
