FIELD: military technology.
SUBSTANCE: muzzle brake-compensator with muzzle constrictions and jet nozzles (MBC), using a method for reducing the recoil of smoothbore weapons, which uses one or more barrel diameter constrictions located in the bore of the MBC (in its final part) and jet nozzles. The muzzle brake-compensator contains side channels made in the form of jet nozzles, which leads to an increase in the total reaction of the output flow, thereby reducing the recoil energy. The barrel bore, which has a constriction to reduce the dispersion of shot or buckshot, increases the pressure of powder gases in the barrel at the time the projectile passes through the constriction, increasing the efficiency of the muzzle brake. A firing method that uses a muzzle brake-compensator with muzzle constrictions and jet nozzles.
EFFECT: increase in the efficiency of the release of powder gases through the side channels of the muzzle brake, a decrease in the recoil of the weapon.
