FIELD: weapons and ammunition.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to muzzle devices of firearms. Muzzle brake comprises flat case, bullet channel, side channels to discharge powder gases. Channels are made with curvilinear generatrices with variable cross-section in form of Laval nozzle. Angles of axes of output channels of muzzle brake vary from acute to direct relative to longitudinal axis of housing along powder gases.
EFFECT: increased efficiency of powder gases emission through side channels of muzzle brake.
