ELECTRONIC HEATING PAD Russian patent published in 2022 - IPC A61F7/00 A61N5/06

Abstract RU 2785254 C2

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to physiotherapeutic devices using, as acting physical factors, heat transferred to the human body in conductive heat transfer due to heat-conductivity of tissues, as well as optical radiation of an infrared (hereinafter – IR) wavelength range; it is intended for external and internal physiotherapeutic heating of tissues. An electronic heating pad includes an electronic unit for power supply and control of power of heating elements and at least one heating element. The heating element includes an outer casing made of rubberized electrical-insulating fabric and an electric heater enclosed in this casing, made of electroconductive carbon fabric in the form of at least one heating cell. Ends of carbon fibers of fabric in the cell are connected from both sides to contact lines in the form of metallized thread strips sewn into carbon fabric perpendicular to location of carbon fibers. Each heating cell includes IR light diode. For this purpose, in each heating cell in electroconductive carbon fabric, a hole is made for IR radiation at a place of electroconductive carbon fabric, free from contact lines, in the center of the cell, corresponding to a hole in a lower layer of the casing of the heating element.

EFFECT: increase in a therapeutic effect of an electronic heating pad due to a combination of surface heating based on carbon fiber and deeper heating due to the use of additional optical emitters – IR light diodes emitting light of a given power of IR wavelength range in the area of transparency window of biological tissues located at a certain distance from each other; such a combination significantly increases functionality of a device and its therapeutic properties.
