FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to mechanical engineering. The method for reinstalling a thin-walled workpiece in a mechanized collet chuck includes placing and fixing the workpiece on the base element. A mechanized collet chuck with clamping elements in the form of collet petals and pressure elements in the form of sliders with variable movement along the collet axis is installed opposite the workpiece. The chuck is brought to the base element with the workpiece entering the chuck hole. Petals are moved to approach the outer surface of the workpiece by moving the sliders along the axis of the collet. At the moment when one of the petals first touches the outer surface of the workpiece, the movement of the slider associated with the said petal is stopped. At the same time, the movement of the remaining sliders continues. The movement of the second slider is suspended at the moment of contact with the workpiece of the petal associated with it. At the same time, the movement of the third slider is continued. At the moment the workpiece is touched by the third petal, the interrupted movements of the sliders are resumed. Then the workpiece is fixed to the outer surface simultaneously with all petals, it is unfastened in the base element and the chuck with the workpiece is withdrawn to its original position.
EFFECT: improving the reliability of reinstallation.
