FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to mechanical engineering, to methods for automatic loading and reinstallation of workpieces on technological equipment. The method includes placing a blank on a base element. A three-jaw powered chuck is installed opposite the workpiece. The cartridge is brought to the base element. The chuck jaws are moved in the radial direction to approach the workpiece. The movement of each of the first two cams is interrupted at the moments of touching their workpiece. The interrupted movements of the said cams are resumed when the workpiece is touched by the third cam. Then, by joint movements of all three cams, the workpiece is fixed and the chuck with the workpiece is removed to its original position.
EFFECT: accuracy of re-positioning the workpiece in the three-jaw power chuck is increased.
