SUBSTANCE: invention relates to mechanical engineering, and more specifically to the main gas pipeline. A method for utilization of gas intended for venting into the atmosphere from the process utilities of a compressor station, including pipelines, pressure vessels and process equipment, starting from the gas extraction tap from the main gas pipeline at the inlet to the tap at the outlet of the compressor station, through which gas is returned to the main gas pipeline after compression by the engine of the gas pumping unit, to which gas is supplied for power supply via the fuel gas unit (FGU). At the same time, the gas is reduced to the minimum permissible value at the FGU inlet by the pressure regulator and utilities with gas intended for venting into the atmosphere are connected via a tap and a check valve on the other side to the same FGU inlet using a header via taps.
EFFECT: present invention improves environmental safety.
