FIELD: biologically active substances and drugs.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for the preparation of substituted 8-hydroxy-1,2,3,4,4a,10b-hexahydro-2H-chromeno[4,3-d]pyrimidine-2,5(1H)-diones with the structural formula:

where R1=C6H5 or 4-ClC6H4 or 4-MeOC6H4 or 3-NO2C6H4, R2=H or CH3, which is the reaction of substituted ethyl-6-methyl-2-oxo-1,2,3,4-tetrahydropyrimidine-5-carboxylates with resorcinols in the presence of acetic and methanesulfonic acids.
EFFECT: new method for the preparation of 8-hydroxy-1,2,3,4,4a,10b-hexahydro-2H-chromeno[4,3-d]pyrimidine-2,5(1H)-diones has been developed, which makes it possible to obtain new previously undescribed in literature, substituted chromeno[4,3-d]pyrimidin-5-ones, which can be used as precursors for the synthesis of biologically active substances and drugs.
