SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of ferrous metallurgy, in particular to a machine for continuous casting of metals. The tundish of the multi-strand continuous casting machine is made in the form of a metal body with longitudinal walls 1 and 2 located on both sides of the axis 3 passing through the center of the outlet holes 4. The longitudinal wall 2 is made in the form of a rectangle and is parallel to the opposite wall 1 with a section 9 in the middle parts, and the length of section 9 is 1.5-1.7 times less than the distance between two adjacent steel-cutting holes 4, the length of section 9 from axis 3 is 1080-1085 mm, and the width of section 9 is 270-272 mm from axis 11 with corners turns α between sections 9 and 10 of the longitudinal wall 2, amounting to 30°, and the place of conjugation of sections 9 and 10 of the longitudinal wall 2 in the area of the metal receiver 14 of the place of pouring metal in the transverse section has an arcuate shape with a radius of curvature R equal to 700 mm from the outer side of the intermediate bucket.
EFFECT: increase in the durability of the reinforcing lining of the tundish up to 1200 heats and increase the series production of the tundish up to 17 heats.
