FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a method for the production of 3-methyl-3-butene-1-ol. The method consists in interaction of formaldehyde with isobutylene in the presence of methanol at a temperature of 280-350°C and pressure of 12-30 MPa in a tubular reactor. Initial components interact in the tubular reactor having at least one branch pipe for input of raw materials to a reaction space and a branch pipe for removal of a product. The ratio of a reactor length to its inner diameter is from 5000 to 10,000, wherein the reactor includes at least one straight pipe section and at least one curved section. At the same time, time of staying of a reaction flow in the reactor is 0.5-2.0 h.
EFFECT: increase in the yield of a target product with increase in formaldehyde conversion and process selectivity.
