FIELD: batteries.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a storage battery cell, wherein said battery contains a dioxide-based (SO2) electrolyte acting as an active electrode depolariser. Storage battery cell comprises a body (1), at least one positive electrode (4), at least one negative electrode (5), and a sulphur dioxide-based electrolyte acting as an active electrode depolariser; wherein said positive electrode (4) contains carbon and has a thickness of at least 0.2 mm, preferably at least 0.4 mm, more preferably at least 0.6 mm, more preferably at least 0.8 mm, more preferably at least 1.0 mm, more preferably at least 1.5 mm, more preferably at least 2.0 mm, and most preferably at least 4.0 mm.
EFFECT: high conductivity of the SO2-based electrolyte, providing good characteristics of the storage batteries and productivity of rechargeable battery cells with an SO2-depolariser.
