FIELD: power sources.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of electrical engineering, namely to a battery cell with an electrolyte based on SO2. The result is achieved due to the fact that the battery cell (2, 20, 40) contains an active metal, at least one positive electrode (4, 23, 44), at least one negative electrode (5, 22, 45), the housing (1, 28) and the electrolyte, while the positive electrode (4, 23, 44) is made in the form of a high-voltage electrode, the electrolyte is based on SO2 and contains at least one first conductive salt of formula (1)
where: M is a metal selected from a group consisting of alkali metals, alkaline earth metals, metals from group 12 of the Periodic Table of Elements and aluminum; x is an integer from 1 to 3; substituents R1, R2, R3 and R4 are selected independently from each other from a group consisting of C1-C10 alkyl, C2-C10 alkenyl, C2-C10 alkynyl, C3-C10 cycloalkyl, C6-C14 aryl and C5-C14 heteroaryl; Z stands for aluminum or boron.
EFFECT: increasing the reliability and service life of the battery with a high discharge capacity and cycling.
