FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to mechanical engineering and can be used to restore the dimensions of an accurate cutting tool, such as flat broaches while strengthening them. The method includes plastic deformation of the broach, providing an increase in the height of the broach teeth with compensation for worn dimensions, subsequent dimensional processing of the teeth, ensuring the restoration of their dimensions and geometry. At the same time, plastic deformation is carried out at the base of the teeth simultaneously with magnetic-pulse processing of the deformable area, which ensures an increase in the plasticity of the broach material at the time of its deformation, as well as healing of microcracks in the material and its hardening. Magnetic-pulse processing is carried out under modes that ensure the occurrence of eddy currents in the material of the broach, ranging from 80 to 180 kA. The subsequent dimensional processing of said teeth after deformation is carried out either by grinding or by the electrochemical method. After dimensional processing of the working part of the tool, it is hardened by the method for ion implantation with nitrogen.
EFFECT: invention provides the ability to restore the dimensions of an accurate cutting tool, such as flat broaches while strengthening them.
