FIELD: metal processing.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the technology of electropolishing the surface of parts made of metals and alloys and can be used to treat the surfaces of turbomachine blades to improve their performance. The method includes immersing the part in a medium of anion-exchange granules, providing ionic removal of metal from the surface of the part with the removal of microprotrusions, when applying an electrical potential of the opposite sign to the part and the medium of anion-exchange granules through an external electrode introduced into the medium, ensuring contact of the entire polished surface of the part with granules-anion exchangers and granules-anion exchangers between themselves and with an external electrode. In this case, a vacuum chamber is used with anion-exchange granules and a workpiece placed in it, then vacuum is created in the vacuum chamber and electropolishing is performed. The installation contains power sources, a control unit, a vacuum chamber of the installation, a working container with anion-exchange granules and an external electrode providing electrical contact with anion-exchange granules, and a workpiece holder.

EFFECT: improving the quality and reliability of metal part surface treatment by eliminating the processes of formation of contaminating and passivating films on the surface of the workpiece.
