SUBSTANCE: method for preservation and coloring of mosses and lichens includes collection and purification of mosses and lichens, after which they are immersed for 24 h into sealed containers with a nutritional solution, which consists of sugars, such as glucose, sucrose, or dextrose, and distilled water, taken in the ratio of 1:10, at a temperature of 15-30°C. Next, discoloration is carried out by immersion into sealed containers for 24 h in a discoloring solution, which consists of hydrogen peroxide and distilled water, taken in the ratio of 3:10, at a temperature of 15-30°C. Preservation, coloring, and giving a gloss in the dark are carried out by immersion for 72 h into sealed containers with a preserving solution, which consists of glycerin, acetylated lanolin, dye, and luminophore, at a solution temperature of 25-40°C, while the ratio of glycerin, acetylated lanolin, and luminophore in the solution is 2:2:1. After that, drying is carried out at a temperature of 20-80°C.

EFFECT: proposed method for preservation and coloring of mosses and lichens provides saving of plant material, without change in its natural structure, provides obtainment of mosses and lichens of different colors, as well as giving a glow in the dark in an ecological way.
