SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the food industry, namely, to the production of functional food supplements for the canned foods and bakery industries. Method for producing a powder from the cones of Humulus lupulus involves the supply of cones to the sorting conveyor, sorting, quality inspection. The cones are then sent in a uniform flow along the conveyor to the UHF drying unit and dried in a single layer by exposure to electromagnetic waves at a power of 700 W to a final moisture content of no more than 9 to 10% for 12.5 minutes. The dried cones are then unloaded from the drying unit onto trays, said trays are installed on a carriage. The cones are cooled to 20 °C, then sorted, inspected and powdered on hammer crushers, sieved, passed through a magnetic collector, packed in kraft bags with moisture-impermeable inserts, and sent for storage. The consumption rate of cones with a dry solids weight ratio of 21.4% for the production of 1 ton of the powder is 3,398.1 kg.

EFFECT: higher content of free water-soluble antioxidants and preservation thereof.
