SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, in particular to dentistry and biotechnology, and can be used to assess the level of immune protection against pathogenic microflora in the oral fluid and relates to a method for determining the activity of lysozyme in the oral fluid. The culture of Micrococcus lysodeicticus SRDI named after L.A. Tarasevich is prepared at a concentration of 10 billion cells/ml, then 3 ml of 1% saline and 1 ml of a suspension of Micrococcus lysodeicticus at a concentration of 10 billion cells/ml are added to a test tube with oral fluid with a volume of 1 ml. The resulting solution is thoroughly mixed and the optical density is measured on a KFK-2MP photoelectric colorimeter at a wavelength of 540 nm, a green light filter, in a cuvette with a layer thickness of 0.5 cm against 1% saline (D0). After that, this solution is placed in a thermostat for 2.5 hours at a temperature of 37 degrees, after which the optical density is re-measured on a KFK-2MP photoelectrocolorimeter at a wavelength of 540 nm, a green light filter, in a cuvette with a layer thickness of 0.5 cm against 1% saline (D1) and the activity of oral fluid lysozyme is calculated according to the formula.

EFFECT: invention provides for the development of a modified method for determining the activity of lysozyme in a small volume of oral fluid, assessing the level of local immunity of the mouth in patients with aggravated somatic status, and implementation in practical healthcare.
