FIELD: biotechnology.

SUBSTANCE: disclosed is a method for automated determination of concentration of active lysozyme in biological samples, involving preparation of standard samples from a lyophilized commercial preparation of chicken egg lysozyme for plotting a calibration curve and a standardized at wavelength of 450 nm by optical density of a suspension of a lyophilised cell culture of Micrococcus lysodeikticus from a commercial preparation. In the cells of cooled 96-well polystyrene plate placed on a cold element, standard samples of lysozyme and analyzed samples in different dilutions are added in a triplet, held for 6 minutes at +4... +8 °C, then, 150 mcl of a standardized suspension of Micrococcus lysodeikticus is added to the plate wells at room temperature and incubated for 6 minutes in a thermal shaker at +25 °C and shaking at 100 rpm; optical density of the samples is measured at wave length 450 nm on a plate photometer and the concentration of active lysozyme, mcg/ml, is calculated in accordance with the calibration curve.

EFFECT: invention provides a wider range of methods for quantitative determination of the concentration of active lysozyme in human biological fluids for clinical purposes.
