FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to anesthesiology and resuscitation, obstetrics and gynecology. Immediately after the extraction of the fetus, oxytocin is administered at a dose of 5 units intravenously slowly over 1-2 minutes. Additionally, the drug terlipressin is used at a dose of 0.4 mg, diluted with 0.9% sodium chloride solution to 10 ml. Terlipressin is administered after the fetus is removed and the fetal umbilical cord is cut before the separation of the placenta from the placental site to the edges of the operating wound of the uterus, into the thickness of the myometrium.
EFFECT: method allows to significantly reduce the degree of postpartum blood loss in pregnant women with a high degree of obstetric risk during cesarean section, demonstrating safety and the absence of complications, allergic and side effects.
