FIELD: mobile robotics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to mobile robotics. In the electromechanical transmission of an autonomous mobile robot with an internal combustion engine, the engine torque is transmitted to the input of an automatic transmission, and the output of the transmission is connected to the differential. Each differential output shaft is mechanically connected to the robot's track or drive wheel and to an electric motor used to electrodynamically brake the track or drive wheel connected to it. The total rated mechanical power of the electric motors is at least two times less than the rated power of the internal combustion engine. To directly create a braking torque on the shafts of electric motors, the energy of an additional power source is not used.
EFFECT: invention improves handling and reduces brake wear.
