FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention is used to a method for cracking of olefin raw materials containing diolefins and mono-olefins. The method includes: a) selective hydrogenation of olefin raw materials in a hydrogenation reactor for conversion of diolefins into mono-olefins and obtainment of a flow of a hydrogenated product; b) transfer of the flow of the hydrogenated product to a gaseous state in an evaporator to obtain a gaseous flow of the hydrogenated product; c) supply of the gaseous flow of the hydrogenated product to an olefin cracking reactor to obtain a flow of cracked olefins, containing C2 and C3 olefins; d) supply of the flow of cracked olefins to a recirculation column to obtain one of a flow of upper product steam, containing C5- hydrocarbons, or a flow of side cut steam, containing C6+ hydrocarbons; and e) recirculation of at least part of the flow of upper product steam or the flow of side cut steam to the olefin cracking reactor.
EFFECT: proposed method provides desired yield of light olefins and maintains a speed of flow through an olefin cracking reactor, when starting and turning off, and in occurrence of any failures in reactor switching.
