FIELD: space engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to orbital maintenance of space objects (SO), in particular, upper stages. Proposed method includes the stages of docking the refuelled SO with the refueller SO, forming sealed refuelling lines. Deposition of fuel components in tanks and transfer of the fuel from the tanks of one SO to the tanks of the other SO are performed by twisting the docked SOs around the centre of mass of the cluster. The angular velocity of twisting is determined from the condition of reaching the centrifugal acceleration necessary for the fuel deposition in the area of the intake apparatus of the refuelled SO distanced from the centre of mass of the cluster.
EFFECT: reduced costs of onboard resources (rocket fuel) for the deposition of fuel in the tanks due to the use of inertial forces.
