SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of environmental protection during drilling and oil production in water areas and can be used to localize oil or petroleum products spilled on the water surface from a carrying ship in order to prevent their spread at the time of an accident. The device is a boom containment made in the form of one closed gas-tight sleeve equipped with a valve for gas outlet or several gas-tight sleeves equipped with valves, closed in a single ring. The boom containment also contains gas-tight inflatable beams fixed with one end to the side of the platform or carrying ship, and with the other end to the gas-tight sleeves and opening simultaneously with or after the gas-tight sleeves or sleeve, and forming a single gas environment with one or more gas-tight sleeves closed into a single ring. On the outside of each sleeve, gas filling ignition cartridges are located evenly along its length, leaving their gas filling devices inside the sleeve. Each sleeve has a bell that prevents the penetration of oil or petroleum products and is burdened with weights. The ignition cartridges in each sleeve are arranged evenly along the length of the sleeve and on the side opposite to the location of the bell with weights.

EFFECT: reduction in the deployment time of the boom containment, an increase in its stability relative to the current, the exclusion of washing the boom containment by waves or current to one of the sides of the platform or carrying ship.
