FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine and can be used to diagnose autism spectrum disorders (ASD) in children. EEG is registered. In lead T5, the indicators of the spectral power of the alpha rhythm in the frequency band of 8-13 Hz and the total power of the delta rhythm in the frequency band of 1-4 Hz are determined. In lead C3, the index of the spectral power of the theta rhythm in the frequency band of 4-8 Hz is determined. Between leads P4 and P3 the normalized coherence of the theta rhythm in the frequency band of 4-8 Hz is determined. The indicator Υ is calculated according to the stated formula. When Υ is equal to or greater than zero, ASD is diagnosed.
EFFECT: method improves the accuracy and reliability of diagnosing ASD in children by using means of objective control and evaluation of the most significant indicators.
