FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of electrical engineering and solar energy, namely to the technology of contacting photovoltaic converters (PVC), structural elements for switching PVC and the technology of assembling solar modules. The composite wire electrode for the PVC contact system contains a fiberglass material impregnated with a polymer binder, a metal wire sewn through the fiberglass material. In this case, at least one part of the surface of the metal wire passes through the fiberglass material, at least one part of the surface of the metal wire is fixed on the front surface of the fiberglass material and partially immersed in the binder, and at least one part of the surface of the metal wire is fixed on the surface opposite to the front surface of the fiberglass material and partially immersed in the binder.
EFFECT: invention enables to increase the strength of monolithic chains of PVC, reduce the risks of microcracks and splitting of PVC during module assembly (lamination), increase the reliability of a lightweight or flexible solar module during operation, reduce the likelihood of module failure as a result of mechanical and thermomechanical influences.
