FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to thoracic surgery. A precise isolation of the diverticulum from the surrounding tissues is performed. The neck of the diverticulum is visualized and a 26Fr probe is placed. A stapler is applied to the mouth of the neck of the diverticulum and cut off. The line of the stapler seam is immersed. The prepared plate "Kollost" is fixed with separate interrupted sutures to the area of resection of the esophagus and to the surrounding tissues.
EFFECT: method allows to reduce the risk of failure of the stapler suture due to a pathogenetically substantiated positive effect on the reparative processes of the area of surgical intervention; ensure complete tightness of the area of the stapled seam in relation to the surrounding tissues; perform additional strengthening of the stapler suture after resection of the esophageal diverticulum; prevent the failure of the stapler suture with the subsequent formation of empyema and mediastinitis; to ensure favorable healing of the area of the stapled suture of the esophagus.
