FIELD: catalysts.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to producing a catalyst for processes in the petroleum and chemical industries. Method for producing a copper-zinc-aluminium oxide catalyst for dehydrating cyclohexanol into cyclohexanone includes the deposition of nitric acid salts of copper, zinc and aluminium from solutions of copper, zinc, and aluminium nitrates on a pre-deposited ZnAl stabiliser with a solution of sodium carbonate at a given temperature and pH, followed by isolating the deposit, washing, drying, and calcining. The solution of zinc and aluminium nitrates preheated to 65 °C is deposited with a 10 wt.% sodium carbonate solution heated to 65 °C while constantly stirring at 65 °C, followed by holding, filtering, and washing the resulting deposit with water at a temperature of 45 °C, with subsequent addition of the resulting stabiliser into a solution of copper, zinc and aluminium nitrates preheated to 65 °C while constantly stirring, depositing the resulting suspension with a preheated sodium carbonate solution by pouring the two solutions into a reactor while constantly stirring and maintaining the set temperature, holding while constantly stirring and maintaining the temperature for 1 hour, filtering, washing the deposit, drying at a temperature of 90 to 120 °C, and calcining at a temperature of 300 °C.
EFFECT: enhanced quality of washing the catalyst with reduced water consumption, leading to a more than 10% increase in the specific surface area of the catalyst relative to the commercial analogues, while maintaining the high activity and thermal stability of the resulting catalyst.
